Safety Tips for Woman Travellers

I had dinner with my neice, Linda, this evening who just got back from a trip to Puerto Vallarta where she travelled as a single. Her husband was not able to take the time off work, so she decided to go by herself. She was talking about how few woman she met while on the trip who travelled solo with most travelling in groups of three. While visiting with many of them, they commented on how brave she was. She didn't think of herself as "brave"!

The two of us decided that we needed to write more articles on how to travel as a single woman. Woman should be able to enjoy travelling by themselves and feel comfortable while doing it.

I came across this article entitled "Safety Tips for Woman Travellers" and wanted to share it with you. The Wall Street Journal recently spoke with Kathleen Ameche, author of "The Woman Road Warrior: An Expert's Guide to Domestic and International Business Travel," about staying safe and comfortable when traveling. Safety is a concern for anyone who travels a lot but especially so for female travellers. Ms. Ameche gives some interesting pointers to woman travellers on how to stay safe while on the road.
