Why Disney World and Hawaii Are Two of the Most Popular Destinations in the World

[Editor's notes: This article was taken from Travel Kat website.]
Disney World and Hawaii rank as two of the top vacation destinations. Disney World is an entertainment theme park founded by Walt Disney, which is located in California. Over the years, it has evolved to become one of the most popular travel destinations in the world catering to both children and adults. The main attractions in this place are the cartoon figures from Walt Disney cartoon films. The park is divided into eight different lands, including adventure land, fantasy land, tomorrow land, and frontier land. All of these provide different attractions and rides to the visitors of the theme park.

Why Disney World is so Popular

Normally, planning an all-inclusive family vacation can be a headache. This is because it is relatively hard to find one destination that is pleasing to all family members. However, Disney world is exceptional as it offers activities to children as well as adults of all ages. This serves to make it one of the most popular travel destinations in the world.

Disney World is not a secret and it is known all over the world as one of the best family vacation spots. If you have young children, they will have an opportunity to meet their favorite cartoon characters. For the older children, they may not be very excited to see the cartoon characters. However, the exciting rides in various theme parks are surely going to keep them occupied.

It is a vacation gem with activities for everyone in the family, from the children to the adults. The main attractions are the water parks, go-carts, amusement parks, mini golf, live entertainment and scenic tours. Another great feature of this water park is the indoor water parks offered in the resorts. This means that you will not have a problem of ruined vacationing due to bad weather. For a perfect family vacation trip, you can check out any of these popular travel destinations and you will not be disappointed.

Why Hawaii is so Popular

Apart from Disney world, there are also other destinations that are perfect for a family vacation. For instance, nobody can argue against a trip to Oahu, Hawaii. This has become a popular travel destination due to the diverse activities, which are available on a family vacation. For instance, children of all ages will have the opportunity to play at the Waikiki beach. Older children can also venture to the north shore for some surfing experience. This can be completed with a tour of the Pearl Harbor for the whole family.

Hawaii is often the ideal vacation spot because of its long sandy beaches with warm sea water. In addition, the views are amazing and the weather is always warm and sunny. Experience the vacation that everyone can enjoy by visiting the tropical islands of Hawaii.

Royal Davui Island Resort – Fiji - a Great Place for a Honeymoon

If you looking for an ideal luxurious escape for a romantic honeymoon location, the Royal Davui Island Resort, in Fiji, with its stunning scenery is the answer. Royal Davui Island Resort is an exclusive adults-only sanctuary situated in Fiji's spectacular Beqa Lagoon.

To travel to Royal Davui Island, it is a ten hour flight from Los Angeles to Nadi. Fiji. It’s a 40-minute helicopter flight from Nadi Airport or 40 minutes by boat from Pacific Harbour to the Beqa Lagoon with its white sand beaches, and crystal water protected by 32 kilometers of unbroken reef with more than 100 dive sites in the area.

Royal Davui Island is a 3.3 hectare lush island with secluded white sandy beaches which rise steeply on both sides. It is surrounded by a barrier reef with schools of fish, rays, and an occasional turtle.

Sixteen exquisitely appointed vales (think bungalow, bure, or villa) nestle around 10 acres of lush tropical landscape. The vales are a blend of Fijian and Pacific architecture, modern décor, and thatched roofs, all creating a paradise of world-class luxury.

Each vale is build on a hill overlooking the turquoise waters of the Pacific and set far enough apart from each other for maximum privacy. Access to each vale is along a winding wooden walkway bordered by lush vegetation, tropical flowers, and peek-a-boo views of the sea. There are no more than 32 guests allowed on the island at any one time, ensuring the ultimate in privacy, personal service and relaxation.

All vales consist of two peaked roof buildings joined by a hallway. Entering a vale, every room has a stunning 180 degree ocean view. One side is devoted to a light and airy living room with wet bar, fridge and coffeemaker, and a two person plunge set beside its balcony. Royal Davui Island Resort is currently the only private island with private plunge pools for each and every vale.

The other side contains the air-conditioned bedroom with king bed, bathroom with double shower and Jacuzzi, double sinks and separate toilet. The roof above the bath can be opened electronically to produce natural light and fresh air. There is a generous deck with table and chairs for private outdoor dining.

Set below the canopy of a banyan tree is Vale Levu, a beautiful al fresco area for dining, The restaurant and the bar offer more amazing views and all meals are included in the room rate. Local seafood and organic fruit and vegetables from Beqa Island are specialties. Guests are served fine Pacific Rim fare either inside or outside on the deck, with two private tables luring honeymooners. Dining is casual – shorts, tee-shirts, and sarongs are suitable for day-time wear, but guests tend to dress a little more formally for dinner.

Day time activities at the resort tend to center around the beach the ocean, pool, and spa. Numerous dive sites are nearby and the snorkeling is excellent right off the beach. Kayaks and sailboats are complementary, and bocce ball and volleyball are popular afternoon activities. Bush hiking on Beqa Island is popular and the “marooned” sandbar picnic with a gourmet picnic for two is one of the most popular optional activities.

Royal Davui Island Resort offers privacy, pampering , and the perfect escape with your special someone. You can stay for just a few days or longer but you are probably best to book and all inclusive vacation package. This beautiful island offers the perfect escape that will be truly unforgettable. How To Make your Honeymoon More Romantic

[Article below taken from Honeymoons.com]

Don't take for granted that your trip will be romantic just because it's your honeymoon. Do all you can to make it even more memorable and add to the romance BEFORE you go. NEVER FORGET THAT YOUR HONEYMOON IS THE BEGINNING OF YOUR NEW LIFE TOGETHER.

Tell everyone—the airline check-in counter, the front desk of the hotel, the bellboy, etc. that you are on your honeymoon. Chances are that you'll be greeted with smiles and perks.

Tuck a small scented candle-in-a-can into the corner of your suitcase.

Keep a honeymoon diary to record magic moments. Leave room for photos and you'll have a great honeymoon album to share with friends and family.

Save small souvenirs for the album.

Pack a few sachets between your clothes.

Slip in some discs that you both love.

Create more magic moments by planning one or two honeymoon days from morning to night. Include things that will make memories to share (An elephant ride, a canopy trip, whale watching excursion, dinner for two at a table on the beach, etc.)

Leave some free time to enjoy each other, and to enjoy your room, the view and the facilities in your hotel or resort. Couples who travel out of the country often tend to overschedule.

Make it a practice to share a dream as the sun sets on every honeymoon day.

Selling Wedding Travel Through Facebook and Blogs

[Editor's note: Just recently got quoted by Hotelmarketing.com (Online Travel, Hospitality Industry and Internet Marketing News) with 35,000 subscribers worldwide. See the article below.]

More and more brides are using Twitter and Facebook to gain tips on planning their weddings and honeymoons. And both sites also provide a common platform and open marketplace for discussion between agents and peers in the industry.

With everyone as well as their mothers being on Facebook and Twitter, it is easy for travel agents to get lost in the shuffle. When using these sites to promote business, it is important to establish a recognizable identity and stand out from the rest. Fortunately, Facebook and Twitter make it easy to brand yourself and get noticed.

“People need to get to know and trust you before they feel comfortable doing business with you,” says Muriel MacRae of Del Sol Travel. “Marketing on Facebook and Twitter can help you increase your brand recognition, generate sales and increase interest in your company or products.”

But the sites allow you to do more than just that. Sure, you can advertise who you are and what you do. But what makes you the go-to person for destination weddings and honeymoons? Why are you the agent to be trusted?

Are You Looking For the Perfect Venue For Your Destination Wedding in Hawaii?

[Editor's Note: I found this fantastic blog about  finding the perfect venue for your destination wedding in Hawaii. Thanks to Sandi at Totem Travel.]

Destination Weddings are fast becoming the norm rather than the exception. Most couples are dreaming of a beach, sunset, and beautiful water when thinking of a wedding in Hawaii. We can help you find the best setting for your wedding, as well as help you and your guests deal with flights and accommodations. Once you decide on the island, which we will help you choose, the venue is next. We have contacts at many of the venues, and can work with them to provide you the best possible experience.  Below are some ideas which hopefully will help you narrow down your options.

A wedding in Hawaii can include anything from a simple barefoot in the sand wedding with just the couple, to an opulent wedding, many guests, at ‘Iolani Palace in Honolulu.

Each of the main Islands of Hawaii, Oahu, Maui, Hawaii (The Big Island) and Kauai offer many beautiful venues.

Oahu, nicknamed The Gathering Place is the main island is the most populous and most commercial….in the Waikiki area. However, Oahu is so much more than the 66 acres that make up Waikiki. I recently toured Oahu with the specific purpose of visiting as many varied wedding venues as possible. Surprisingly, most of the venues were miles away, both figuratively and literally, from Waikiki.

This is not to say that many of the hotels along Waikiki do not offer beautiful wedding venues and packages. Most hotels offer wedding packages which can include all aspects of your wedding: catering, photography and music. A wedding coordinator is also available to help you plan everything, long distance! Outdoor sunset weddings are very popular, with rooftop or beach receptions!

Since most couples think of sand and beach, when they think Hawaii Wedding, there are some legal aspects involving permits, which are not costly but can be confusing and complicated. However, a good wedding planner, which we help you find, will deal with all of this on your behalf. Since the use of chairs, tables, arches and other assorted decorative elements are not allowed on the beach, be sure that all of your guests are comfortable with standing on the beach for 30 minutes while you repeat your vows, Remember, even if you do not actually recite your vows on the beach, photographers, which we can also help you find, love to photograph you on the beach, on the cliffs, in the water, at sunset, or sunrise. You will still have that beautiful beachfront wedding portfolio of pictures!

Many couples opt for a garden wedding overlooking the beach and ocean. One of my favorite locations for a garden wedding was on the Windward side of Oahu. There are garden & beach settings that make this venue particularly appealing. A casual wedding on the beach is of course very special, but even more special is that it can be on a Secret Island site! The Secret Island is actually private! You and your guests will be transported by boat to the Island, for your ceremony on the beach. You can have your reception on Secret Island, or in one of the gardens on the “mainland”. Very private and very romantic!

In addition to the Secret Island, garden settings offer some of the most beautiful wedding locations on Oahu. The staff will provide different decorative elements such as arches and flower arrangements, tables and chairs as are needed for your guests, and tents protection from the elements. Nature provides the views: Ocean, the small island, Chinaman’s Hat, and beautiful mountains all contribute to the ambiance!

Another of my favorite venues for a wedding is the Waimea Valley Park. This Park is on the North Shore of Oahu and has some of the most beautiful garden settings for a wedding. They do not have a beach, but they do have a beautiful waterfall! The waterfall is a short walk down a beautiful pathway with tropical flowers everywhere!

Some couples do want to have a chapel wedding, and Oahu has some beautiful options. Small privately owned chapels offer a beautiful setting in a tropical garden with sweeping ocean views. Many of the chapels have beautiful stained glass windows which contribute greatly to your photos, as well. The private chapels are generally non-denominational so they can provide your dream wedding regardless of religion. Some of the settings also feature gardens with waterfalls or fountains, gazebos and lanais for wedding ceremonies and receptions. One of my favorites also includes a Romeo and Juliet balcony for throwing the bouquet!!

Chapels in the harbor offer the unique opportunity for the bride and groom to be married, celebrate with their guests and fly off to their honeymoon on a sea-plane!!

Another chapel that is very convenient for guest staying in Waikiki is the St. Augustine By-The-Sea Waikiki Roman Catholic Church. The church is about 1 to 2 blocks off Kalakaua Avenue which is the main street in Waikiki. For your wedding photos, this church, built in 1854, with Neo-gothic architecture and many stained glass windows are going to be amazing!

For the ultimate in convenience, one or two of the Waikiki hotels have chapels on site. This can be particularly desirable if you are hosting a small wedding with all of the guests at the same hotel. The Ocean Crystal Chapel, at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, is a wonderful option. The Chapel is beautiful, air conditioned, great sound system, with an all-white color scheme. Since it is in the Hilton Hawaiian Village, there are many options your reception. Or maybe, the Waikiki Starlight Luau, on the rooftop, would be a great choice for your reception?

On the far North Shore of Oahu lies Turtle Bay. One of the most romantic settings on the island, this resort offers beautiful ocean views, gardens and an oceanfront chapel as wedding options. The waves are some of the biggest & most picturesque anywhere, and make the perfect backdrop for your wedding photos.

Chapel at Turtle Bay

I’m sure you will agree Oahu is much more than Waikiki! But that’s fun, too!

Great Time in Hawaii

Just got a nice testimony from a neat couple whom I had booked a two week trip to Hawaii last November. The first week consisted of a couple of days in Honolulu before they went on a week's cruise around the islands. During the second week, they flew to Kauai staying at one of my favourite resorts, the Kauai Coast at the Beachboy. It's always so nice to hear from my clients that their vacation went well.

Dear Muriel,
We both want to extend our greatest thanks for all that you have done in planning our wonderful two week trip to Hawaii. The two weeks went great with no hang ups or complications. It was nice to have a holiday where everything was planned with such detail. Norma was so totally exhausted when we left for our trip , it was great to have all of the decisons and arrangments made for us and all of the details covered, so it required no thinking on our part. The written itinerary was a great help and totally accurate. Our hotel in Honolulu was above what we expected and at such a great price!

The cruise on Pride of America around the islands met all of our needs for just “hanging out” and relaxing. The crew were very friendly, very accommodating, and helpful. We never did any shore excursions because we wanted to take advantage of the ship’s food and events. One could not find fault with anything. Being Norma's first cruise, she loved it and is ready to go back any time.

The second week that you planned for us in Kauai at the Kauai Coast at the Beachboy was fantastic. You were right! The room was so nice and we had everything we needed there. We used the kitchen for every meal except for one. I was impressed how good the service was there. It was centrally located for our day trips to the rest of the island. We rented a car and saw lots of the sights on that great island. Yes, it is now one of our favourite islands in Hawaii, too. We had such good weather and had no rain all week. We would return to Kauai in a minute to that unbelievable hotel room.

I would recommend Del Sol Travel. We had a fantastic holiday with everything planned in such detail. Muriel, thank you for making our trip so special!
