Top Luxury Hotel Favourite of the Week – Grand Hyatt Kauai Part 2

The grounds of the Grand Hyatt Kauai make a statement all on their own. Because the beach here isn’t suitable for swimming, the resort has made up for it by building a salt-water lagoon, waterfalls, plenty of pools, caves, secret lagoons, and a water slide, all  with  breath-taking ocean views, to make this a tropical paradise for guests wanting an oceanfront experience. Perhaps you just want to get away from the mainland stress or the cold back home. What better place to do it than at the most extravagant resort on Kauai where you can enjoy strolling through the 50 acres of manicured grounds with its  lovely gardens and meandering pathways.

Let’s start our tour of the Grand Hyatt Kauai by looking at the wonderful waterfall gardens located in front of the main lobby of the hotel.

These grounds are so beautiful with all of the gently winding pools, the lush green plants and the many colourful flowers.

A view of some of the rooms facing the ocean. If you look closely you can see the expanse of lawn built  on the roof of some of the buildings.

Now this is the life just sitting under your own private tent watching the waves come in!

You might want to try swimming in the ocean but watch the waves as they can be very dangerous. The red flag is usually flying. Just look at the color of that water! In the background, “the brave ones” are jumping off the rock into the water.

It is much safer to swim in the saltwater lagoon...

Perhaps you would rather swim in this pool? There is a nice little eating place here so you can spend the whole day here.

There are numerous waterfalls throughout the property. I never did find them all.

And then there is the waterslide. The kids, big and little, love this!

For the golfers, an unforgettable golf experience awaits you on the course designed by Robert Trenton Jones Jr.

One last look of the ocean and that beautiful turquoise color of the ocean. This is the scene I dream of on cold wintry days.

Finally two last pictures taken from the hotel that I just couldn’t resist that show the spectacular view.

Wouldn’t you like to be here? I sure know that I would!

A special thanks to Grand Hyatt Kauai and especially Josh for allowing me to use their pictures.
