Maisie Williams will be a bridesmaid at Sophie Turner's wedding
Maisie Williams has landed her sweetest role yet: being a bridesmaid at her best friend Sophie Turner 's wedding to Joe Jonas.
According to Harper's Bazaar, in an interview with Radio Times, when asked if she was "bidding for a role as a bridesmaid" at the ceremony, Williams responded with a laugh, "Oh, I've already got it."
She added, "It's very, very exciting. It's kind of bizarre, though."
Turner and Jonas likely won't tie the knot any time soon, however. Williams hinted that the couple is waiting until Turner and the Game of Thrones cast finish filming the show's eighth and final season before they start planning the wedding .
"We're waiting 'till this season's done until we get into any of that," she said.

Turner, 21, and Jonas, 28, announced their engagement in October 2017 after dating for about a year. The actress posted a photo of her ring on Instagram with a simple caption—"I said yes," she wrote. The couple hosted an intimate engagement party a month later.
It didn't take long for her onscreen sister and real-life BFF to publicly congratulate her on the news. The day after the announcement, Maisie reposted the photo of Sophie's ring with a sweet message: "Congratulations to my beautiful girlfriend on her engagement ???? This is just one of MANY life milestones we'll share. Love you both ????#mophie #jophie #holymoly"
Turner's ceremony isn't the only Game of Thrones wedding in the works—her costar Kit Harington (Jon Snow) is also getting married to his former scene partner Rose Leslie (Ygritte). Unlike Turner, Harington might not wait until after the season to say his vows; his and Leslie's nuptials could take place mid-production, which means they'd have to pause filming Season 8 so the whole cast can be present.
"I was like, ‘You need to factor in a Game of Thrones wedding by the way,’" Harrington recalled telling a GoT producer. "They [the cast] have all got to be there so the whole thing has got to shut down."
