Four Seasons Resort Hualalai Part 2

I was so impressed with Four Seasons Hualalai, which is a tropical oasis built in the midst of a lava field, that I would have to say that it is one of my favourites resorts on the Big Island. It is definitely a combination of luxury and relaxation in a tropical setting. This resort is located on a historic fishing village with sandy beaches, beautiful touquoise waters, and stunning views. This is an absolutely perfect place for a destination wedding, a romantic honeymoon, or a relaxing getaway. The hotel was at capacity when we visited but as you can see from the pictures it does not look crowded at all.

I can't wait to show you some of the pictures and I am sure that you will agree with me how fantastic this resort is.

Here is an an aerial view so you an get an over view of the property.

The lobby is very impressive and makes you feel like you are outdoors.

The huge doors slide back.

The property is beautifully landscaped!

One of the choice wedding locations for an intimate wedding.

They have the cutest little housekeeping trucks I have ever seen!

One of the pools. All of the rooms are located in two story buildings.

The beach!

Most of the rooms have an ocean view

Wouldn't you like to stay in a beautiful suite like this?

This is an ocen view room decorated with its soft calming colors.

And just look at this view of King's Pond!

What about a nice cold drink at the Lava Lounge?

The lap pool at the spa

More places to relax in private

These colorful chairs look so inviting.

Another beautiful relaxing pool

An inviting place to eat at the Beach Tree Grill and Bar which is located right
beside the beach and the Beach Tree Pool.

And then there is the 18 hole golf course!

Finally, imagine ending a glorious relaxing day with a sunset like this!

Top Luxury Hotel Favourite of the Week – Grand Hyatt Kauai

Of all of the hotels that I have visited in the last year, the  Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa has to be one of my favourites! If you travel to Kauai, you have to visit this hotel even if it is just to view their beautiful grounds. This is one of Hawaii’s best luxury hotels and it has been chosen as “one of the  World’s Best Hotels” by Travel & Leisure readers and placed on the “Gold List” by Conde Nast Traveler readers. Having recently undergone a multi-million-dollar renovation, this luxury hotel  has taken on a new level of elegance. This stunning four-story resort is built into the oceanside bluffs and overlooks  Shipwreck Beach in sunny Poipu located in the southern part of Kauai. Set on 50 oceanfront acres ,the $250 –million Hyatt uses classic Hawaiian architecture with clean lines and simple elegance that is both functional and beautiful.  The resort features beautiful landscaped, lush  gardens with meandering pools, a water playground with a river pool, lagoons, waterfalls and perfectly manicured lawns.

So let’s  start at the entrance and go inside this hotel and see what it looks like.

First we want to check in at the front desk. Notice the beautiful paintings, the flowers and the plants.

Wait until you see the rest of the pictures! Seventy percent of the 602 spacious rooms have an ocean or a partial ocean view with the rest overlooking the lagoon or the gardens. The room refurbishment included a new look with replaced wall coverings, flooring, curtains, furniture and décor. I like the linens with the traditional kapa prints and the sugar plantation window shutters. The bedroom is relaxing with colors from nature and look at the great balcony. Wouldn’t you like to sleep here?

Look at the detailing in the hand carved headboard made out of exotic Sapele wood with the imprint of the native Hapu’u fern.

I love the luxury of a rain-style shower and the marble countertops with double sinks in the bathroom.

Can you imagine staying here in the Presidental Suite?

The interior of the hotel is open and airy with lots of lush greenery and gardens. Notice the elegant tall entrance ways.

There are lots of outdoor verandas with tables and chairs.

The sea breezes definitely mix with the lush tropical plants in the lobby area. I love the views from different parts of the hotel…

Can’t you see yourself eating dinner in this restaurant while you enjoy this view?

And there are so many places to just sit and enjoy life!

How about a cool drink on a hot day?

You will want to make sure that you have a relaxing massage in this tropical paradise,  so follow the path to the Anara Spa.

What about having a massage in the couple treatment Hale?

And so ends a quick tour of the inside of this fabulous hotel. Here is a peak at the manicured lawns outside, but you will have to wait until tomorrow to see the rest of the grounds. You need to know that they are spectacular!

A Tropical Hideaway in Fiji - Likuliku Lagoon Resort

Once upon a time across the bluest of oceans, an island was born of lava and sand - an untouched paradise whose heart was a turquoise lagoon of unimaginable beauty and tranquility. The first visitors came and explored. To honour the magic of the place, they named it "Likuliku", meaning "calm waters".

                       Over-Water Bures – aerial view

Likuliku Lagoon Resort is a luxury “couples only” resort and is the first and only resort in Fiji to feature over-water bures. Located in the Mamanuca archipelago, Likuliku is 25 km or 16 miles from the Nadi International Airport.

                               Welcome to Likuliku

This resort has received many awards, including Top 10 Best Luxury Hotels in the South Pacific Traveller’s Choice Award  2011 and  Top 10 Luxe List of “Destination Weddings + Honeymoons” Magazine.

                                 Sunset Pool and Lagoon Views

Part of the romance of the resort is its idyllic setting on the beautiful bay of Malolo Island with its fine white sand and shallow lagoon.

View from top of Malolo Island

This resort is like an ancient village with 10 of the 45 bures being built over the beautiful turquoise waters of the lagoon.

                         Over-water Bure Interior
The remainder of the bures are either beachfront or garden bures all spaced out behind the long beach shoreline. Each building features traditional architecture and materials using natural elements which are found in the area. Elegant and stylish pieces, detailed wood, ”magi magi” designs and rich fabrics all add to the atmosphere.

                            Traditional Magi Magi

Each bure allows you to laze on your private deck and enjoy the spectacular views of the lagoon.

                                  Lagoon sunset

This resort is noted for its amazing helpful staff with their friendly “BULA!” and the fantastic food.

                              Fresh local seafood
What a perfect place to get away from it all, whether you are getting married, or go on your
honeymoon,  anniversary or you just want a wonderful romantic getaway!
